Mid-Winter Indoor Golf Classic
This fun filled golf tournament is held every March at Golf Without Limits in Waterloo. It is 18 holes of simulated golf in a scramble format and support the BIAWW. One-hole events include a Longest Drive contest and Closet to the Pin Challenge where great great prizes will be awarded on behalf of our Corporate Partners. After the tournament, the awards banquet includes dinner, prizes, 50/50 draw, raffle table, live auction and entertainment.
Heels & Wheels 5 K Run/Walk & 1K Walk/Roll
Heels & Wheels has been developed to promote brain injury awareness and raise funds for the programming of the BIAWW. Heels & Wheels is a 5K Walk/Run or a 1K Walk/Roll. It is being held on June 1, 2014 as the kick off to Brain Injury Awareness Month. Brain Injury Awareness Month is a national month throughout Canada to promote public awareness of the causes, consequences, treatment and prevention of acquired brain injury.
Hawaiian Mix & Mingle
September 25, 2014. Come out for a fun evening of networking. This is an opportunity to mingle with survivors, ABI professionals, local business leaders and delegates. More details to follow soon.
Professional Training Series
In the spring of 2012, the Waterloo Wellington Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Steering Committee completed a survey to better understand the training needs of local professionals. This series is a direct result of the result and response to the survey.
